AYSO Safe Haven Child and Volunteer Protection Training

Child and Volunteer Protection course - required for all Coaches and Referees - can now be taken from home!

AYSO online Safe Haven Certification Program. This program presents measures which volunteers should follow to promote a healthy and positive environment in which children can learn and enjoy the game of soccer. This computer-based online program is available for volunteers throughout AYSO. This program was developed by Region 2/N/36 in San Mateo, California.

This certification must be completed in a single session. If you anticipate that you will not be able to complete it from this computer within the next hour, we suggest that you may want to start at another time.

The Safe Haven Certification Program was developed by AYSO to provide protection for the children and volunteers in AYSO. The volunteer Protection Act of 1997 was passed by congress to promote volunteerism. This law grants immunity from certain types of prosecution for volunteers who meet its requirements.

At the completion of the program, the volunteer may print a certificate similar to the sample shown here below for their own records and will receive a confirming email with a link to their certificate.
